Scout remotely monitors devices
Silver Bullet's Scout™ is a web-based system which remotely monitors the health of check
scanners,
receipt printers and other devices. Devices can be monitored from your location whether they are down
the street or halfway around the world. Scout can be configured to alert you to out-of-spec performance,
jams, degrading capabilities, and common maintenance issues which result from the lack of operator
maintenance. Likewise, Scout can also be configured to alert you when a device drops below your pre-set
data quality thresholds for MICR misreads*, MICR rejects and image quality. This system is equally
effective when used with systems deployed inside a bank or in the hands of your remote deposit customers.
Scout collects only device statistics and error codes. It neither collects nor displays customer
financial data. Finally, it is important to note that Scout is both hardware- and application-independent.
No application changes are required to support Scout, and the system can be configured to support many
devices such as receipt printers, page scanners and ATMs.
