Introducing Ranger for Canon DR-Series Document Scanners
With this release, Ranger users can integrate Canon’s advanced document scanners into existing financial, remittance, and document imaging workflows without rewriting or reconfiguring their applications.
The new Canon DR-Series integration maintains consistent TWAIN-based performance while processing multiple document types — from checks and invoices to remittance stubs — all within the Ranger ecosystem.
OCR-Based MICR Line Reading for Canon Scanners
For the first time, Ranger for TWAIN introduces reliable OCR-based MICR line recognition, for the newly supported Canon DR-Series scanners.
This enhancement allows applications to extract key MICR data directly from scanned images, providing a flexible alternative to traditional magnetic MICR hardware. The OCR capability reduces dependency on specialized check scanners while maintaining reliable data capture accuracy.
