Ranger Transport API is a software tool that allows banks to use virtually any item processing software with virtually any check scanning hardware. Ranger offers financial institutions control over their system configuration with minimal integration efforts. By utilizing Ranger, providers can implement an effortless mix-and-match between their software and the SmartSource™ Adaptive check scanner hardware.
The new Unisys SmartSource™ Adaptive series is a next generation family of image capture devices that allow banks and corporate clients to process checks and other payment items remotely at faster speeds and more efficiently and securely than earlier generations of its image capture devices. Standard features include an auto-sensing (CMC7 and E13B) MICR reader, as well as early front image capture for quality validation, along with variable image renditions (black & white and grey scale) and resolutions (100 dpi up to 240 dpi). Also available with the new series are options for optical character recognition, one to four lines of height-adjustable endorsement with graphics, and a franking capability.
