PENSACOLA, Fl., January 5th, 2005 – Silver Bullet Technology, Inc. announced today that Ray Higgins of Ontario, Canada, has accepted the position of Director of Business Development. In this position, Higgins is responsible for supporting marketing and sales initiatives as well as strategic planning for Silver Bullet’s technology and services portfolio.

Higgins is excited that Silver Bullet Technology has created the de facto industry standard interface for check scanners with Image Quality Assurance (IQA) compliant to the Check 21 standards. This will reduce the bank’s capital expenditures for implementing their Check 21 image capture environments by maintaining the viability of a competitive selection of check scanners.”
Prior to joining Silver Bullet, Higgins worked with NCR Corporation for 23 years, where he had several roles from check scanner imaging technology development to being the chief architect and business consultant to the implementation of several international image exchange check clearing systems. In his most recent role as a payment systems business consultant, Higgins provided consultation to central banks in Asia, Middle East and Africa for the implementation of their check truncation payment systems. Higgins is recognized as being one of the world’s top consultants for image exchange check truncation clearing systems, having participated on the FSTC PACES project, Image Archive Forum, ANSI standards committees, and for his extensive experience in technology development and payment systems project implementations.
