Software development to be completed 4th quarter 2008

PENSACOLA, Fl., November 6th, 2008 – Silver Bullet Technology and Ernst Reiner GmbH & Co. KG (REINER) announced today that Silver Bullet’s Ranger® API will be available for REINER’s RS 900 in the fourth quarter of 2008. This innovative maintenance-free scanner gives companies the ability to put distributed processing to work instantly. The RS 900 is a fast, compact and very reliable scanner designed for tellers, point of sales or remote capture applications. Its minimal footprint and the straight paper path design allow it to scan not only documents but also plastic-coated items such as ID cards and driver’s licenses. As an optional feature a Barcode Engine can be integrated on special request. The RS 900 has the ability to read a MICR line, endorse, capture front/back images and transmit the data through a USB2.0 interface. The 24-bit color CIS cameras are flexible and covered with a special glass, so even checks with staples can be scanned securely. The straight paper path design in combination with tightly mounted transportation rolls reduces jams to a minimum. For fast and easy track access the casing opens by pressing a button.

Silver Bullet’s Ranger software allows customers to use virtually any item-processing software with virtually any check-scanning hardware. The addition of REINER’s product to the Ranger family will allow banks and other financial institutions to incorporate the RS 900 into their programs without replacing their current software solutions.

“We believe that the RS 900 in combination with the Ranger API will bring a very effective and secure way of check processing to the market. SBT has been established and well recognized through the industry. The competence of SBT fulfills our high standard perfectly”, said Gabor Hermann, Director of Sales for REINER.

“REINER’s history as a market leader in innovative design makes this scanner an excellent candidate for all Ranger-supported applications,” said Bryan Clark, CEO for Silver Bullet. “The addition of the Ranger API to the RS 900 will enable quick and effortless implementation at remote deposit sites around the world.”
