Banks to take advantage of affordable low volume capture device for branch and remote capture applications
PENSACOLA, Fl., May 20, 2005 – Silver Bullet Technology, Inc. announced today that its Ranger™ Transport API product is now available for Digital Check’s TS220. This partnership offers banks a new dimension for branch and remote capture applications by enabling their current Ranger-compatible high-volume solutions for use at low-volume capture sites.
“Bankers need flexibility in implementing their Check 21 capture solutions,” said Ray Higgins, director of business development for Silver Bullet. “Ranger allows them to mix and match hardware and software solutions to best fit the diverse range of check volumes processed at teller or remote capture sites. Ranger is combined with FSTC/ANSI compliant Image Quality Assurance to ensure that only high quality images are processed.”
As the industry standard, Silver Bullet’s Ranger software allows customers to use virtually any item-processing software with virtually any check-scanning hardware. The inclusion of Digital Check’s TS220 allows banks to incorporate this low-volume scanner without replacing their current software solutions.
“As the leading manufacturer of check scanners in the United States, our focus continues to be on distributing our TellerScan™ products through Value Added Resellers such as Silver Bullet Technology,” said John Gainer, EVP for Digital Check Corp. “We’re pleased about our new partnership with Silver Bullet and the opportunity to make the TellerScan™ 220 available to existing and future customers of the Ranger Transport API.”
The Digital Check TS220 and TS210 scanners leverage the experience gained from manufacturing and shipping nearly 20,000 units in 2004. Today, over 100 million items are being processed through Digital Check scanners each month. This level of real-world usage has made Digital Check the leader in distributed capture, while also providing the kind of user feedback necessary to fully understand the requirements of today’s remote capture marketplace. As a result, Digital Check is not only the leading brand of scanner for teller automation, but has also become the scanner of choice for remote deposit and ARC applications.
