Silver Bullet - Press Release Archive

PENSACOLA, FL., November 1st, 2006 – Silver Bullet Technology, Inc. announced today that its Ranger Transport API product is now available for Addmaster’s check scanner. Addmaster’s MJ4000 scanner provides banks a new dimension for branch and remote capture applications, enabling a proven and affordable check scanner solution for lower-volume capture sites.

The compact scanner captures both sides of the check, reads the MICR code, and endorses the back of the item. With its easy form insertion and fast check handling, the MJ4000 enables tellers to quickly scan single or multiple items. With a fast scan and data transfer rate of one second, the MJ4000 is an attractive alternative to more expensive auto-feed units.

“With Ranger, our customers now have a quick and comprehensive way of controlling the Addmaster scanner using an industry standard that has proven itself in thousands of applications,” said Hugh Clary, Vice President of Addmaster.

“Addmaster has been bringing top-notch bank peripherals to the teller desk for over 40 years,” said Sonia Livingston, President of Silver Bullet. “We are quite pleased to partner with Addmaster as they offer banks a solid, quick-entry option to the remote capture market.”

Silver Bullet’s Ranger software allows customers to use virtually any item-processing software with virtually any check-scanning hardware. The inclusion of Addmaster’s product allows banks to incorporate this small footprint, attractively priced scanner without replacing or making changes to their current software solutions.
